About Us

C. ANN BOWMAN, APRN, BC, LMHC is a Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist in private practice. She has over 40 years of experience and  extensive training with issues of depression, anxiety, grief, and addiction issues (both individual and family).

Her training includes obtaining a Master of Science in Mental Health from Indiana University and extensive training in Gestalt therapy, group therapy, couples therapy and Integrative Psychotherapy.  She has published research on the effects of alcoholism on family dynamics.

She has presented Gestalt therapy workshops locally, nationally and internationally on a wide range of topics including women’s and relationship issues. She is currently Vice President of the Indianapolis Gestalt Institute which provides training for therapists and practitioners as well as workshops for the general public.

CHARLIE BOWMAN, MS, LCSW, LMFT, LCAC has 40 years of experience as a helping professional and focuses on general psychotherapy for adults, adolescents, couples, and groups.  He  has extensive experience in addictions, bariatrics, trauma intervention, employee assistance, and organizational development.
 
Charlie is Past President of the Association for the Advancement of Gestalt Therapy , Senior Faculty at the Indianapolis Gestalt Institute, and a member of the New York Institute for Gestalt Therapy.  He completed three intensive years of core Gestalt therapy training in Indianapolis, advanced gestalt training with Institutes in New York, and Los Angeles, at Esalen Institute and extensive training in Integrative Psychotherapy with RIchard Erskine.
He has trained and mentored psychotherapists and counselors in the U.S.A. and abroad.  Publications include commentary on the treatment of trauma, addictions, domestic violence, various aspects of Employee Assistance Programs and the advancement and development of Gestalt therapy.
In 2022 Charlie received the Association for the Advancement of Gestalt Therapy’s Lifetime Achievement Award for contributions in gestalt therapy.
